What to Expect

Our nursing team will spend significant time teaching and training on all aspects of your home dialysis treatment. At the end of training, you will be confident and prepared to perform dialysis independently at home. Patients can expect to learn the details pertaining to infection control, emergency preparedness, machine set up and tear down, monitoring vital signs, vascular access care, troubleshooting, supply management, and how to effectively partner with our Vitality nursing team. The training usually takes several weeks and is tailored to your needs and availability.
